AC Digital Technology is a digital infrastructure and IT services provider based in Taunton, Somerset.
Founded in 2017 by Ashley Cox as ACIT Consultancy, the business began by delivering secure, reliable IT support to small businesses across the South West. Over time, our services expanded and the business evolved into AC Digital Technology Limited, becoming the multi‑disciplinary four‑specialist team we are today.
Today, we combine IT support, digital infrastructure, physical security systems and advanced connectivity to offer a complete technology partnership for homes and businesses.
Our Story
Our founder, Ashley Cox, has worked in IT since 2005. After spending 11 years in a corporate, blue‑chip financial environment, he saw the power of modern cloud technologies—particularly Microsoft 365—and how they could transform smaller organisations.
In 2017, Ash left the corporate world to help local businesses adopt modern, secure workplace solutions. What began as a specialist consultancy grew steadily into a wider service offering, covering everything from Microsoft 365 migration and IT support to WiFi engineering, CCTV installations, secure door access and full digital infrastructure projects.
Today, AC Digital Technology delivers end‑to‑end technology solutions across Somerset—always with the same values that defined the business from day one: clarity, reliability and genuine care.

Meet the Team
Ash
Director & Founder
Ash began his IT career in 2005 and spent 11 years working in a demanding corporate environment within the financial sector. With deep experience in Microsoft technologies, enterprise systems and cloud transformation, he founded the business to bring enterprise‑grade IT to the small business market.
He leads the managed IT services side of the business, working closely with clients to design secure, scalable and long‑lasting solutions. Known for his clarity, honesty and practical approach, Ash is passionate about helping businesses thrive through modern technology.
Mathew
Infrastructure & Fibre
Mathew has over 20 years’ experience with British Telecom, starting as an engineer in the early days of ADSL and VDSL before progressing into managing large teams across the South West. At AC Digital Technology, he leads our major infrastructure installations.
He has a passion for hands‑on work—especially fibre splicing—and is known for his meticulous approach, strong work ethic and ability to build excellent relationships with trades on site. His leadership ensures our installations always exceed expectations.
Gavin
Electrical & Security
With experience as both a qualified electrician and a pub landlord, Gavin brings a unique mix of technical expertise and excellent people skills. His electrical background is invaluable when delivering large infrastructure projects.
Gavin plays a key role in installing systems such as Paxton Door Access, CCTV and physical security solutions. His eye for detail and pride in his work ensure every installation is clean, safe and professionally delivered.
James
IT Support
James is the newest member of the team and supports Ash in delivering managed IT services. With four years of IT experience and a strong grounding in customer service, he quickly became a trusted point of contact for our retained support clients.
When he’s not helping customers, James is in the lab expanding his technical knowledge. His curiosity, motivation and willingness to learn make him a perfect fit for our growing team.
