The Challenge
The rural Dorset location faced severe connectivity hurdles, with landline speeds capped at a dismal 5Mbps and negligible 4G/5G signal.
Compounding this, the absence of underground conduits and restrictions against overhead cabling made physical links between the four buildings impossible.
We had to find a high-bandwidth solution that could bridge 100-meter gaps across open fields without digging a single trench.
The Result
AC Digital implemented a high-performance Starlink satellite system, delivering speeds up to 400Mbps to replace the failing landline. By utilizing a managed firewall, we successfully created secure, segregated networks with dedicated web filtering for the holiday annexes. To solve the cabling restrictions, we deployed a Ruckus Wireless Unleashed mesh system.
Nine high-powered nodes, including two specialized outdoor units, now blanket the entire property and the remote stable block in seamless WiFi. The client now enjoys enterprise-grade connectivity across their entire estate with zero inter-building cabling.
